About Me

Hi, my name is Dr. Cary Allen! I am a 2023 DVM graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from the greater Wilmington area, I have lived all over the beautiful state of North Carolina for the majority of my life. Living in N.C. sparked my excitement and love for native wildlife, and in 2016, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology.

I paired my love of animals and medicine when I began attending RUSVM in 2019. I lived on St. Kitts for a little over 2 years before moving to Urbana, Illinois, to complete my clinical year at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. To provide a multi-modal approach to treating my future patients, I will be certified in veterinary acupuncture through Chi University in 2023. I believe offering these types of services to pet owners helps build a long-lasting relationship leading to trust and compliance.

While living a short distance away from Chicago was nice, I quickly realized that I enjoy the warm weather more and relocated back to N.C. as a clinical veterinarian. I am currently seeking potential employment opportunities with clinics that offer solid mentorship and are open to letting me explore my passions. I look forward to hearing from you!
